SquadBlast: Kyoto Kitsune Den map concept

I am excited to share the concept of the Kyoto Kitsune Den payload mechanic map, developed during my work as a Principal Concept Artist at SquadBlast by UltraHorse. My objective was to enrich the map with both destructible and non-destructible objects, distinctive landmarks, and to weave a narrative into the location.

The map was meticulously recreated in 3D by Vladimir Skorodumov and transformed into tiles, facilitating the creation of additional Japanese-themed maps with varying mechanics.

The left segment of the map serves as the base and loadout area for the Blue Team, centered around a Water theme. Each landmark in this section is intricately connected to water elements.

To create a memorable central building without replicating an existing structure, I drew inspiration from Kyoto's Fushimi Inari Shrine and designed an iconic Inari (Fox) museum as the map's centerpiece.
